Central Board of Secondary Education is one of the popular organization that conducts National Eligibility Test. It is the national level exam to find the eligibility of the aspirants for the Assistant professors or JRF’s in various universities. Every year this examination is conducted for two times in the month of June & January. Lakhs of candidates are appearing for the exam. Central Board of Secondary Education
CBSE is a board for the public and private schools under the Union Government of India. On behalf of the Universal Grants Commission, it conducts the National Eligibility Test every year. CBSE will conduct NET in 83 subjects at 88 Selected Cities of Examination spread across the country. The candidates who qualify for the Junior Research Fellowship can pursue research in the subject of their post-graduation. Also, eligible for subject related Assistant Professor. The IIT’s & National organizations may select the JRF awardees for the whole time research according to their selection procedure. The validity period for the research is 2 years from the date of issue of the Joining letter.

Eligibility for the UGC National Eligibility Test
The candidates who wish to apply for the UGC NET Exam may check the eligibility conditions below.
- Aspirants who have 55% aggregate in the Master’s degree in the listed subjects from a recognized university are eligible for the NET exam. The SC/ST/PWD/OBC candidates must have the 50% marks.
- Also, the candidates who are appearing for the final year are also eligible to apply.
- The candidates who have passed the exam by 19th September 1991 will have 5% relaxation in the aggregate marks.
- Aspirants whose PG subjects are not present in the listed subjects can appear for the related subjects in the list.
- Candidates should not be more than 28 years for the Junior Research Fellowship.
